Portage around the falls - Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Interpretive Center, Great Falls, MT. This exhibit is one of many in the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. It graphically depicts the struggle to portage a heavily-laden canoe, mostly uphill, and through country covered with prickly pear cactus.
